PASC Membership

Affiliation with COPAS
PASC was one of the founders 35 years ago and maintains an ongoing relationship with the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS). COPAS is comprised of over 20 petroleum accounting societies in the United States. Through this affiliation, the Board and Committees stay in touch with developments in the US and internationally.

Committees
PASC has numerous standing committees that are jointly responsible for matters such as developing model accounting procedures, sponsoring educational seminars, and providing guidelines on revenue, joint interest, marketing and financial research issues. PASC members are also actively involved in work conducted by joint task forces sponsored by other associations such as the PJVA, CAPL and CAPLA. The opportunities to learn and understand more about our business and bring more value to companies from seeing others' ideas and perspectives are boundless. We actively contribute to adding value through seeking out improvements in the field of petroleum accounting.

Professional Development Luncheons
PASC holds regular monthly luncheon meetings at the Palliser Hotel on the third Wednesday of every month. At each meeting, PASC invites a guest speaker to present a topic that is of interest to our members. We would welcome your suggestions for topics of interest. The luncheon meeting is also an opportunity to meet fellow members and discuss PASC and industry activities.

Continuing Education Courses
PASC supports the following continuing education courses: Introduction to Petroleum Accounting, Fixed Asset Fundamentals, Revenue Auditing I - Measurement and Field Facilities, Revenue Auditing II - Revenue and Gas Plant Audit, Financial Statement Preparation, and Financial Analysis and Reporting.

Conditions of Membership
Membership in the Society shall be open to persons actively occupied in the fields of accounting, auditing, finance or economic with companies or organizations which are directly or indirectly engaged in the activities of any sectors of the petroleum and/or natural gas industry.

Membership Fees: $100.00 per year (Plus GST)
